Superset Consulting Requirements A major financial services company sought to transition away from an industry-leading BI solution in one of its key products, opting instead to adopt an open-source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings on license costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to fully grasp the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this understanding, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting requirements for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended modifications to the data stores to maximize Superset's capabilities and ensure optimal performance, providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plugins were created to enable more interactive data presentation, including drill-down features, among others.
Outcome The consultants have been building new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organization to maintain the dashboards and reports independently.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer's business teams and their end clients. To underscore the success of the project, it has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
