Superset Data Visualization and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services firm sought to transition from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution in a core product line to an Open Source platform (Superset) in order to achieve significant reductions in licensing expenses.
Deliverables NobleProg facilitated several project workshops with the client to thoroughly assess requirements, scope, risks, and the existing technical infrastructure. This led to the development of a comprehensive Statement of Work to steer and monitor the project’s progress. Our lead consultant worked closely to align the current data architecture with specific reporting needs for various report types. We recommended optimizations to the data stores to maximize Superset’s capabilities and ensure peak performance, while guiding the implementation team through these changes. Once the data store and pipeline were optimized, our consultants began developing and deploying a range of reports based on established requirements and new business or customer requests. To meet specific presentation needs, we developed custom plugins to enable more interactive data visualizations, including advanced features such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome Our consultants have been responsible for creating new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge transfer occurs so the client organization can independently maintain these dashboards and reports. The project is currently ongoing and has received positive feedback from both the client’s business stakeholders and their end-users. To reflect its success, the engagement has been expanded to cover additional products and client segments.
