Superset Data Visualization and Dashboard Consulting Engagement
A major financial services firm sought to transition away from a leading industry BI solution within one of its core products, opting instead to adopt an Open Source system (Superset) to achieve significant reductions in licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg facilitated several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, potential risks, and technical environment. Based on these insights, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and monitor the project’s progress. Our lead consultant worked closely with the client to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs for each report type. NobleProg’s lead consultant recommended adjustments to the data stores to optimize Superset usage and ensure peak performance, while also providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. Once the data store and data pipeline had been optimized, our consultants began developing and deploying a range of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To meet the specific data presentation needs, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data displays, including features such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants successfully built new dashboards and ensured that sufficient knowledge was transferred to the customer’s organization to maintain the dashboards and reports independently. The project is currently ongoing and has been positively received by both the client’s business stakeholders and their end customers. To mark the project’s success, it has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
