Day 3 offers a technical perspective on foundational cloud computing platforms. It examines Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments as composite patterns made up of unique and shared components. Structured as a guided exploration of these architectural layers, this module outlines primary components, identifies shared elements, and explains how building blocks are assembled and implemented using cloud computing mechanisms and practices.
Day 4 expands on Day 3 by providing an in-depth look at elastic, resilient, and multitenant technology architectures, along with specialized solution designs like cloud bursting and cloud balancing. By studying architectural mechanisms, industry technologies, and design patterns, the course describes both core and extended components that enable elasticity, resiliency, and multitenancy—key characteristics of cloud platforms. Leveraging native and enhanced scalability and failover capabilities, it details how specialized architectures facilitate bursting between cloud and on-premise environments, as well as load balancing across clouds to optimize performance and ensure failover readiness.
Day 5 challenges participants with a series of exercises and scenarios designed to assess their ability to apply the knowledge gained throughout the course.
